Can't believe that my blogging days are about to end... From the start, i wasn't a blogging person.. i never understood the point of blogging everyday life thoughts onto the internet.. to be honest.. if it was not for the class assignment, i don't think i would have ever touched blogging in my life. However, , i have to say that my views on blogging and the whole topic of Media itself has changed gradually through out the course.
I've written about popular types of media exp Facebook, youtube, viral videos etc. I've never given much thought about it till now. The advantage of blogging allows us to share our thoughts and discuss with other people and share our interests. Through blogging, i got a lot of feedbacks from other students and learnt more about different versions of media. I especially liked Vivian's comments cause they were sometimes different to my point of view and she would give me examples of her own ideas.i never really given much thought that media is always around us, and ive learnt a lot from the last few lessons. My favorite blog post was the first one, where I've written a poem. I also got some oral feedback from the girls on the collaborative blogpost I did, which again shows that blogging does make an impact on people.

Collaborative projects
The first thing that came to my mind on collaborative projects is youtube!!! Youtube is so successful because it allows peer production- where no one has to meet together but still able to work together and produce outcomes... Youtube earns income mainly by advertising. But have you noticed(maybe girls noticed), that more and more people are teaching the audience to buy this and that, and even teaching other girls to put on makeup and introduce all kinds of products...
Most of the time, girls start to teach other female audience how to apply makeup and state their opinions on different kinds of products... Gradually, cosmetic companies find out that this is a terrific way of promoting their products viral. They send their products to the (famous) girls on youtube, pay them to introduce thrir products on youtube.. Thats y more an more "sharing" videos are surfacing on the internet nowadays.
This has proven to be an excellent way to sell stuff, as youtube allows people to add comments underneath and there are always loads of discussion and different opinions on diff products. However, comments could be biased, as the person who's in charge of the video gets to delete hateful comments and thus only gd comments on products would appear.

commercials-attracting audience
Last week during class, thanks to Jennifer, we were able to watch the extremely funny video of the Whooper Burger Commercial. This made me start to wonder the importance of making a great advert. The Burger commercial was a success because it was "new", not just the normal thirty second storyline that we usually see in tv, but actually making a simple documentary, by secretly video-taping people's reactions if the whoopers were gone.Very original. Attention-seeking. Success.
So i started to think what makes a good commercial. And this commercial came up instantly in my mind.

What made this advert so successful is because it is attracting attention.
Culture jamming video- Teenage pregnancy nowadays is a serious problem and this advert addresses this problem directly and shows us the cons of not using a condom during sexual intercourse- the chance of having a badly behaved child!
Attention attracting- Not much is said in this video but the message is transmitted to the audience clearly
Sceneriating- Most commercials have storylines nowadays but this advert grabs attention cause it relates to all ages.
Whilst this commercial on the hand is not as gd as the first one..

I don't understand why beer is related to ufo???!!!
Not creative... all blue girl beer commercials have scenes with a few boys and girls having fun and drinking beer...
Nothing that is interesting enough so that it makes impact on people.. an easily forgotten commercial....
Its just my opinion, but what do u guys think? Are there any ways to make the second video a better commercial?
