Facebook- a new era

According to  others ,Facebook is one of if not the most used social networking site in the world. Why is it so important? Because everyone benefits from it!

One of the reasons that Facebook is so popular is because of its modality.  I would say that the layout of facebook would be left- right. There is a video about the advantages of facebook iin the left and side of the page that attracts peoples' attention. Then i slowly look to the right side as i sign into my account.
Other kinds of layouts would be top-down like Gucci, LV etc (advertising sites).
Sites like google or yahoo would be more of the centred layout.


Here is a video i found on line that helps protect your privacy in facebook. I personally do not think it works 100% as people can still easily change passwords. What do you think?

-Adults love it because they get to catch up with old friends and also secretly observe their children's actions on the internet and even know what kind of friends they are hanging out with.
-Kids love it because it is cool and they get to interact with their friends and socialize with them. They also get a sense of coolness if someone "likes" their blog posts.
-Business people love it because they can advertise their products on the site and attract people to visit their big functions and allow more people to know about them.
-thieves love it because they get to know the important dates of the business people's big functions such as diamond exhibitions or antique auctions.
-Policemen love it because they can find out where all the illegal activities were held, such as prostitution, underage drinking and drug deals etc.
-Assholes love it because they can provide illegal activities on the site to naive children such as prostituion, underage drinking and drug deals etc.

See? Everyone loves it!!!! (just a joke guys)

digital life

New media has affected our daily lives tremendously. Not only do my classmates depend on it, even some of the teachers use social networking sites to communicate with us. Its not just a teenage tool now!  To make things more interesting, I wrote a poem about how new media has affected our lives.Enjoy:)

I used to have a friend,
who used facebook all day,
during breakfast, lunch and dinner,
even in the toilet if she may.

"Just a few clicks away!
To three thousand friends."
What is the big deal,
it's only just the latest trend.

But it's not only her, everyone's addicted.
Texting and tweeting wherever they go.
Facebook asked me, "what am i doing"
Just one question though, do you really want to know?

If people gave a dollar,
for every single tweet,
homes could be built
and cancer could be beat

I looked at my friend, glued to the screen.
I wonder if she'll every move from her seat.
"No one's "liking" me!"Then she started to cry.
Oh for god's sake, I shouted with heat.

"Facebook is destroying you,
don't use it from now on!"
My friend gave a nod,
she knows i'm not wrong

After a very long fight,
Finally, i got her off the hook.
But she's turning towards the screen again.
she's announcing her retirement on Facebook!
